Back in time | Metal artist Robert Sadlemire of Sadlemire Metal on Seaboard Street in Myrtle Beach, grinds down the rough edges of a 10 foot metal rendering of the 17th century sailing ship “Adventure”, which will be part of the entrance to Charles Towne Landing state historic site in Charleston. CharlesTowne Landing stands where English Colonists in 1670 established the first permanent European settlement in the Carolinas. The park will include a life size reproduction of the sailing vessel.
